Rev. Phil Smedstad is a seasoned New Thought minister and our current Minister of Record, ordained at Unity Village in 1976. He has founded Unity churches in Hawaii and Texas and is one of Unity's transitional ministers and counselors. For 14 years, he was the president of Theophilus Divinity School in Minneapolis, where he taught spiritual concepts for deep personal transformation. Rev. Phil is also the author of "Real Wealth: Creating the Life You Want from the Inside Out", and the creator of "My Next Step" cards and the "Prayer of Transformation" booklet, along with the Transformation group process.

Rev. Lyle Schlundt earned his B.A. in Theology from St. Thomas in 1981, became a Shiatsu Massage Therapist in 1997, and a Reiki Master Teacher in 2002. He was ordained in Religious Science in 2008, received his M.Div. in Pastoral Care and Counseling in 2015, and a doctorate in Religious Studies in 2018. A member of Unity Minneapolis since 2007, he is involved in the Healing ministry and Prayer Chaplaincy. Lyle is also a facilitator of Healthy Congregations and Advanced Care Directives, and a certified chaplain in Integrative Medicine and Chaplaincy, currently assisting his parents.

Rev. Joanne Biewald is a Religious Science minister and the Founder of Center for Spiritual Living Minneapolis, where she is a co-minister. Centers for Spiritual Living (formerly Religious Science) embrace the same New Thought spiritual philosophy that Unity holds. In addition to the Center for Spiritual Living Minneapolis, Reverend Joanne started a prison ministry called Spiritual Living, which brings the New Thought philosophy into several Minnesota prisons. She’s passionate about sharing the New Thought ideas with those searching for a rich spiritual life.

Rev. Barbara Winter-Martin is a long time Unity Truth Student and has a Master’s Degree in Transpersonal Psychology with a concentration in “spiritual practices.” She enjoys weaving psychology and spirituality together to facilitate healing and personal growth. Since retiring as Minister at Unity of Central Minnesota, and later as Interim Minister at Unity North, she continues to guest speak and work with individuals in her private counseling/healing practice.
